Strathcona

Strathcona School was located on the northeast corner of Runnymede and St. John's Roads.  It opened in 1909 with eight classrooms and was enlarged in 1913.  Due to low enrolment, the school was closed in 1943.  Two years later it reopened as Runnymede Chronic Care Hospital and was demolished for a new hospital building in 2011.

If there was a World War I memorial, its location is unknown.  The school closed before the end of World War II.
